Islam Made Me Smile

Today, Islam made me smile. It brought warmth to my heart and showed me that you are never alone.
I have just recently discovered that a couple of girls from a Tafseer programme every second break where they sit and discuss Deen. Being a curious person who likes to learn new things and share my knowledge, I decided to go, dragging a friend along with me.
At first disappointment filled my heart as I only found three girls from the whole high school engaging in this beautiful act which is most loved by Allah (SWT) and His Prophet (SAW). Sacrificing your break to discuss the Deen with other females with the sole intention of pleasing Allah (SWT) and seeking more knowledge is something so precious and is worth a lot of reward, yet there were only three girls there. They say you should grab an opportunity with both hands; well, this was an opportunity worth dying for.
As I sat down on the Musallah and greeted the girls, I felt a sudden overwhelming feeling, as if I was home. And honestly, the whole 20 minutes that we spent sharing stories and opinions about Deen, I felt the closest to Allah (SWT) that I have felt in a long time. It made me want to become a better Muslim. It made me want to do more for Allah (SWT) than just practising the 5 Pillars. The best part of these feelings... I wasn't alone. The other girls felt it too, and that's why they had the programme everyday, even though it was only three of them. It just goes to show that one initiative might not change the world, but it can definitely make a difference in someones life...
And this is why Islam made me smile today.
